About Deirdre Coleman
Deirdre is a Consultant Speech Language Therapist who started Nurture Speech Therapy after relocating to the UK from Canada. She is a Certified PROMPT clinician and is one of approximately 70 PROMPT instructors globally and one of two in the UK and Ireland.
After graduating from Trinity College, Dublin, she relocated to Vancouver, Canada where she acquired nearly a decade of experience connecting and partnering with individuals, children and their families. Her holistic, individualised approach is essential in helping her clients find their voice and help them achieve their fullest potential. She has experience working in a variety of settings and connecting with various members of her clients’ multidisciplinary teams.
She provides the highest quality assessment and therapy services for those with any communication difficulties and her practice is always rooted in compassion, connection and empathy.
While working with individuals and their families is Deirdre’s passion, she also trains and mentors other clinicians in the PROMPT approach. Her commitment to evidence-based practice led her to engage in research with the PROMPT Institute and the paper she co-authored is one of the most downloaded papers on the Frontiers Medical Journal.
