From the moment our daughter was three years old and struggling with speech, Deirdre stepped in with warmth, expertise, and a genuine passion for her well-being. Now, at eight years old, our daughter's journey wouldn't have been the same without her. Our daughter's speech development has been nothing short of transformative. Deirdre’s ability to connect with children is remarkable, and it's clear that she genuinely cares about the lives of the families she works with, both inside and outside of sessions.

Deirdre started working with our daughter, Keira, when she was 3 years old (she is now 9). Keira had severe motor speech difficulties from birth, and we were told she would be non-verbal. Deirdre using her specialised skills in PROMPT and her experience helping children with complex needs, she was able to help Keira develop her language skills and speech. Keira now uses her voice for most of her communication at school, home and in the community and uses a speaking app 10% of the time for the few sounds she is still working on. Deirdre was an integral part of Keira’s team, and she wouldn’t be where she is today without the incredible skilled help that she was able to provide us.

Deirdre was there from the beginning of our Autism and Apraxia journery with our son and has become an invaluable member of his team. He adores sessions with her, running down the hall to meet her. Everyone has commented on how much his communication skills have improved since beginning sessions with Deirdre. Her empathy and compassion have helped us so much as parents, we can’t recommend her enough!
